Metaphysical Properties: Black onyx is either naturally black or has been heat treated. It absorbs sorrow and has been used as an icon of courage. Jade is the sacred stone of the Maoris, who called it greenstone.
Jade is known as the “dream stone”, jade brings realization to one’s potential and devotion to one’s purpose. It improves ones remembering of dreams and assists in “dream-solving”. Used in suppression of the emotions during the dream process, jade can be put under the pillow prior to sleep. Jade is a protective stone and will keep its wearer out of harm's way. Jade also gives it's energy to anyone it comes in contact with. Because of its ability to soothe the mind, jade makes tasks seem less complicated. It strengthens the cleansing systems and aids in the removal of toxins. The color green represents life or growth. Green jade is very calming to the nervous system.
Black Onyx has strong grounding properties. It is good for all problems of the ear, especially the inner ear with balance and sensory mechanisms within ones body. It can be used by one who is easily distracted allowing one to concentrate. It helps one stand up for oneself in an argument or unfair criticism without loosing ones temper.
